Your mom or dad is known by name, not by room number.

That size is the whole point. Meals are cooked in the kitchen, not delivered on a tray. And when something changes, someone notices the same day.

Common questions

Questions families ask us.

What is an adult family home?

An adult family home is a regular house in a neighborhood, licensed by Washington State, where a small number of older adults live and are cared for. In Washington these homes are usually licensed for no more than six people, which is why the care is far more personal than a large building.

How is an adult family home different from assisted living?

Assisted living is usually a large building with fifty or more apartments, a front desk, and staff working on a schedule. An adult family home is a house with a few people living in it. Your mom or dad is cared for by the same small group every day, and you talk straight to the people doing the care instead of a coordinator.

What does it cost?

It depends on how much help your parent needs, so there is no single price we can post. Call and tell us the situation and we will give you a straight number.

How do families pay for it?

Most families pay privately. Some use long-term care insurance. In Washington, some people also qualify for help through DSHS. What we are able to accept can change, so please call and ask before you rule us out.

Do you have any openings?

Openings change from week to week. Call and we will tell you what is open now. If we are full, we will say so instead of leaving you waiting.

Is someone awake at night?

Yes. Someone is here around the clock, including overnight, so help is never more than a room away.

Can we come see it before we decide?

Yes, and we hope you will. Walking through the house is the only real way to know if it fits your family. Call or send a message and we will find a time that works for you.

What areas do you serve?

We are on Riverview Blvd in Everett, Washington, and welcome families from across Snohomish County, including Mukilteo, Marysville, Mill Creek, Lake Stevens, and Lynnwood.
